Immune Protocol

It is a time of year when so many of us have colds or are feeling a bit under the weather. There is so much we can do to stay healthy during this season even when it seems everyone around us is hacking and coughing.

My first suggestion is to pay attention to our bodies natural circadian rhythm and follow it the best we can. This means that we need to go to bed and wake up roughly at the same time each day. It is also helpful in the morning to get a few minutes of outdoor fresh air, even if it is cold. You don’t have to be out long, 5 minutes even, what this will do is stimulate your hormones that are active in the day to keep your body in perfect balance.

It is also important to eat a nutrient dense diet, the better our nutrition, the better our bodies function the more we prevent illness. What does this mean exactly? Well there is no one way for everyone, frustrating I know… So lets start with this: eat at least 40 grams of fiber in your diet each day. If you have a high fiber diet I know you are naturally getting a lot of antioxidants and nutrients to fuel your body. Did you know that on top of adding incredible nutrients to your body if you are trying to loose weight the single most effective way to do so is with a high fiber diet? This is because 10-20% of the calories in a high fiber food are not available for you to to consume AND fiber binds to many other things in your GI track aiding in detoxification and ridding your body of potential excess calories eaten elsewhere.

Also to boost your immune system is to stay active, exercise and move your body in ways that you love.

There is always supplementation. I have posted this before and will post it here again:

Immune Protocol for General Prevention

  1. Zinc – 30 mgs (take with food but not grains, nuts, seeds or legumes).
  2. Vitamin C 1000 MG of Vitamin
  3. Vitamin D – 6,000 IU for 5 days.

Immune Protocol if you feel you are getting sick – Child:

If you feel you are getting sick:

  1. Vitamin A – 50,000 per day. Take for 5 days ONLY. DO NOT TAKE LONGER and DO NOT TAKE IF PREGNANT
  2. Zinc – 19 mgs daily for 5 days (take with food but not grains, nuts, seeds or legumes). NOTE Zinc can make some kids nauseous if that happens stop the zinc.
  3. Vitamin C 1000-3000 MG of Vitamin C OR to bowel tolerance (if you get diarrhea you have taken too much). Do this for 5 days.
  4. Vitamin D – 10,000 IU for 5 days
  5. Aconite 30c pellet three times a day on day on then daily for 5 days unless instructed to do something different.

Immune Protocol if you feel you are getting sick – Adult:

If you feel you are getting sick:

  1. Vitamin A – 100,000 per day. Take for 5 days ONLY. DO NOT TAKE LONGER and DO NOT TAKE IF PREGNANT
  2. Zinc – 50 mgs daily for 5 days (take with food but not grains, nuts, seeds or legumes).
  3. Vitamin C 2000-4000 MG of Vitamin C OR to bowel tolerance (if you get diarrhea you have taken too much). Do this for 5 days.
  4. Vitamin D – 10,000 IU for 5 days
  5. Aconite 30c pellet three times a day on day on then daily for 5 days unless instructed to do something different

Viricid: Feeling run down or around a lot of sick people: 2 caps daily Feeling a cold coming on: 2 caps every 2 hours until feel better or until day is over. You know you are getting sick: 2 caps every hour for the day and then the next day every 1-2 hours depending on how you fee. Then as you feel better lower the dose.

If you are traveling On the day you are traveling do the following: 100,000 IU vitamin A x 1 days 30-50 grams Zinc (take with food) x 1 days 3 gram vitamin C x 1 days (if causes diarrhea then cut dose in half) 5,000 IU vitamin D x 1 days. Aconite 30c 1pellet daily for 1 days.
